Welcome to the premiere of Continuim - the film! A short film about time and dance in a surreal reality.

This art film was shot during the summer of 2020 during the creative process of a cancelled dance piece, emerging in a more and more desolate opera house as restrictions to limit infection risk kept changing. The dancers in GöteborgsOperans Danskompani were captured by time in a story as surreal as reality.

In autumn 2020, the new dance piece Continuim by choreographers Christine Gouzelis and Paul Blackman was supposed to have its world premiere on the Göteborg Opera's main stage. For known reasons, the premiere was cancelled and the piece has been postponed to the future.

In this fast-paced dance piece, the choreographers play with the notion of time: "Continuim evolves around human natures ability to adapt within forever changing circumstances. In honouring beauty, vulnerability and destruction, the dancers are continuously interrupted by the unstoppable force of time. Time is our playground, as we try to re-make or unravel history."

Continuim - the film is directed by the filmmaker Daniel Kedem in collaboration with Christine Gouzelis and Paul Blackman.
